Sparrowstar leaped up the Great Stump with a faraway look in her eyes. "BristleClan, first of all... please welcome Mintpaw and Cobblekit. Cobblekit is Lakepoppy's kit. Though... Lakepoppy is dead. She was taking a walk around BristleClan territory, and had not retured for some time. Angelfur and Sootclaw had found her lying in a pool of blood with two kits beside her. One was still-born, the other, barely alive. Snowingsong, will you be able to nurture the kit? I hope so.
Lakepoppy was Sootclaw's mate and Thornfang's mother. Though her time here in BristleClan was short lived, she will be mourned for. It is still unknown who killed Lakepoppy." Gasps rose. Sparrowstar's eyes were far, far away now.
"Lakepoppy's kits were far from ready to arrive. And there should've been a... less messy birth, and also, a large slash was observed accross her belly. Though the blood scent was everywhere, Angelfur picked out a scent only she could recognize at first smell. Rogues." Sparrowstar waited for the cats to settle. "It has been a while since we last heard of them. But Sun's threat... we ignored it. And, as he promised, he would kill us off one by one. For now... I shall think about this. Angelfur, please.. would... you...." Sparrowstar's voice cracked and she rushed off to her den. The clan stood in shock. Angelfur quickly clambered up and stuttered for the right words.
"Erm... I believe... Sparrowstar wanted me to... erm.. Thornfang, I trust that you will mentor Mintpaw and teach her everything you know. Erm.. that is all..."
For once, the clan was completely silent.
Dragonclaw was unnoticed as he slipped into Sparrowstar's den.

Two ideas have been set forth, and every role-playing cat in the forest has been invited to vote FOR or AGAINST these new laws. The polls will close on September 1st.
